Notes

Painted in Wellfleet, MA, June 22, 23, 25, (journal) of south window of cottage near the Dickinson house. It incorporates many of ED's most loved subjects: reflections, drapery, "distortion" of objects when seen through the screen, the quite expansive reflected scene encompassed within a very small architectural "frame." Particularly nice is the reflected telephone pole some distance away.
