Drawn in Provincetown, MA, December 11, (journal), sent to FF December 13 as engagement present. It was in the kitchen they became engaged, (journal) On November 8, 1961he recalled that"In '27 I had taken an exhibition [to Springfield, MA] & returned to Provincetown. To RPs [Richard Parmenter's] changed my clothes & went to the Grant House to Mrs. Foley's party. Pat there in a lillac [sic] dress. The kitchen stove. 34 years later she & I are together in Athens. This date was noted annually in ED journals, but in 1963 the Alzheimer's had begun and he marked the date as September 8.
